For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

As we grow in our discipleship walk, the Holy Spirit makes us more like our Lord.  This happens inwardly through the Fruit of the Spirit (Love, Joy, Peace, etc.).  But outwardly we express this transformation through a heart of empathy and compassion manifest through obedience in prayer, witness and service.  We minister in service to the community within our body through obedient use of our gifts, the word, discipleship and fellowship.  But we're also called to minister beyond our body through acts of love, mercy and compassion in the broader community.  As you pray, listen and obey, consider How God would have you use the heart and gifts He has provided at in and through Calvary Chapel Compton.

Serve in our church

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Ephesians 4:12
But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal 1 Corinthians 12:7

God gives each of us a specific set of gifts so HE can use US to bless others in the Body, the body itself and those in our communities.  We'd be blessed and privileged to assist you on your journey of finding and developing your gifts, then deploying in, and through our fellowship.

Volunteer FAQ
Use your God-given gifts to serve the Lord and to love people. Use the form below to get started.

How do I volunteer?

God wants first our heart/selves, then our obedient service.  Service is an outgrowth of our relationship with and love for our savior Jesus Christ.  That relationship is extended to the local church body when we serve.  We'd love to get to know you, hear your story and help you obey in service.  There are some areas of service and ministry where committed believers can jump in right away.  Others require a few steps of preparation and/or training.  Either way please contact us

How do I volunteer with kids?

As soon as kids can understand words, they should be provided THE WORD.  We're therefore blessed and privileged to be able to share and minister to children.  As a ministry team we also feel the need to do our best to provide a safe and caring environment for the children. Christians who are in places of responsibility in the church are required to be examples in faith, conduct, and business affairs . We therefore have a relationship/discipleship process beginning with an information form.  This helps us fulfill the ministry while providing the safe, caring environment.

How do I volunteer with music?

We're all able to sing and worship, some in the shower, most in the church audience and some  on the stage.
But we can all recognize some have a little more abundance as far as the gift of music.  In Chronicles we're told Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful. 1 Chronicles 15:22 Whether just acknowledging the call, or much further along using those gifts to build up the body (the church), Our Calvary Chapel Compton Worship Ministry is seeking gifted believers to humbly serve. You don’t need to yet be an established professional musician to join this ministry. We look forward to helping you find the place best suited for the gifts and passions God has given you!

How do I volunteer with students?

Our student ministries have the same priority and process as children's ministry.  Please reach out for more information.
